Are Arcades Gaming Dead?
« on: February 14, 2018, 12:02:17 AM »
While it's true that most people are turning away from arcades to PC's for some hardcore gaming experience specially the hardcore gamers and some are very obsessed with their nifty mobile phones trying to installing whatever gaming apps they want. That leaves arcades on the sideline but don't fret cause arcades are not dead they just transition to a more modern version of arcades as I've read in forbes known as VR arcades or VRcades and is a future $45 billion industry as they've said. As for my 2 cents analysis I would believe that most if not all machines used in the conventional arcade games will still be used like car racing where you sit in a miniature car or motorbike the only difference is the VR device is in your head instead of the conventional screen in front of you. The experience will surely feel more real compared to the conventional one where the screen is in front of you plus no distraction of whatsoever that will distract you from playing the games like people passing by plus the noise around you is minimize or eliminated depending on your headset means giving all your focus only in the game.
